Job details – This is a new opportunity for a talented, customer focused apprentice to join the Customer Services team. The apprentice will be required to have confidence and be a team player as the role will involve working with customers face-to-face and on the telephone, dealing with queries, and providing advice and information on local services. This is your opportunity to make a difference to the people who live and work in the Borough of Kettering, developing, expanding and improving service delivery for our customers.
Some of the duties will involve meeting and greeting customers, making appointments, taking deliveries, answering and diverting incoming calls, sending emails, etc. The desired skills and qualities are for the apprentice to have excellent customer service skills, excellent telephone manner, be a team player, ability to use own initiative, ability to think quickly, be confident and have a pleasant personality, ability to speak to people on all levels, willing to help, flexible and adaptable.
For this Level 3 Customer Service Specialist Standard the apprentice will be required to be committed to their own learning and development. This apprenticeship will require the apprentice to complete modules to learn business knowledge, skills and behaviours, as well as carry out independent research on the organisation. The expected duration of the apprenticeship is 18 months.
